Hi,
I've just set up a wireless network in my house, and now want to access "My
Music" folder stored on my main pc via my XDAIIi pda (which is running Media
Player 10 for Pocket PC). But being a novice at all this I'm not sure what to
do...I know I have to enter a URL address but am not sure what it is.

In networking my pc's I've created a common workgroup name in order to share
folders - do I need to specify this name at all ? For info I have shared the
"My Music" folder, and can successfully access the music from my laptop.
Thanks in anticpation,

Dave

The easiest way, IMHO? Get a copy of REsco Explorer, map the My Music
drive, go to options on resco and celest Show Network in root of device,
then use any music player (MP, betaplayer, etc) to access the music
directly. There is other software that will allow mapping to be visible to
all programs as well.

The second way would be to use a uPNP music sever (such as TwonkyVision,
MusicMatch etc.) on the machine with the music and a client on the PPC to
access and stream the music. But so far the uPNP clients (Nevo, Nero's
Showtime, intel's PPC client, etc ) tend to be bloated in memory and not
exactly really stable. Still, with a little work you can get them working
satsifactorily enough.
