The difference is about 25% in favor of the 7 latency over 9.

But also make sure the clock speed of the lower-latency memory is the same to begin with. The "true" speed of the memory is the clock speed divided by the latency. So if you have a stick of memory at 7 latency and 1333 MHz, a stick at 9...

But also make sure the clock speed of the lower-latency memory is the same to begin with. The "true" speed of the memory is the clock speed divided by the latency. So if you have a stick of memory at 7 latency and 1333 MHz, a stick at 9 latency but 2000 MHz would still be faster.
