I have never built a computer before but plan on buying all the parts and getting my local computer shop to assemble it all. Could anyone come up with a good gaming system for around $1100? I am such a newb with all this i can't seem to come up with too good of a system.

Also, that budget doesn't include a moniter. I would like for speakers, a mouse, a keyboard, and an OS to be included in that budget. My approximate purchase date will hopefully be sometime this coming week.

I have been browsing newegg for a few days now and honestly it confuses me! Haha i'm new to computer building so i get confused easily. Could anyone come up with an i7 rig for around 1200?

This build is set up so you can add another gtx 260 later on if you choose and run them in SLI. It's also set up to over clock.

Not sure...it says your list is empty. I will say to you what I say to everyone on here. If you are going to set yourself a budget for a gaming rig, do not screw yourself and limit your shopping to only newegg. If you check my build up above, the psu is from "buy.com" and the i7 OEM is from "ewiz". Also I didn't include taxes seeing how there is no sales tax where I live.

I will post one more i7 build, but a cheaper one set up for a decent single vid card.

Here's a decent single card set up. You would want to switch out the case and psu to run that card in SLI. But it's set up to over clock...just add two cheap 120mm case fans to it...Masscool has decent ones for $5 each @ newegg.

Is there anything i am missing such as fans or whatnot? Thanks for all the help so far!!!

Switch out the psu on your build. 750w to run two gtx 260's in SLI, 650w to run two gts 250's in SLI. The gts only uses one PCI-E connector not to mention it uses very little power. 650w is plenty for two of those cards in SLI.

Then you surely don't need that 750w. A decent 550w like the OCZ I posted in my last build will be more than enough, not to mention it's modular so it makes for a cleaner build. And since your going with a single card set up, I would ditch the CM 690 seeing how that's more expensive and it's set up for dual vid cards, and go with the cheaper Antec 300 case. It's a quality case and it's probably the most popular gaming case bar none. It has great cooling, ventilation, not to mention it holds a crap load of fans if you choose to add more in the future.

Yeah i looked over your single gpu card setup and i really like it. And could you provide a link to those two 120mm case fans? You have been a huge help!!!!
