Brother printer mfc-6490cw offline

just bought a 6-mos old brother mfc-6490cw second-hand and can't get it to print anything. Keeps reading "off-line"... Any suggestions?

Newwork printer, or stand alone home pc printer ?

go HERE and download the drivers for the printer.
It should set up the drivers and connect to the printer for you.

The default network connection for the printer is wired. If you want to print wireless you need to change the network settings in the menu on the printer.
