My dad has a emachine that runs at 533 FSB. I am changing the power supply out for him and noticed he only has 256 MB RAM. The RAM is PC3200 DDR. I have two spare sticks of PC2700 DDR 256 MB.

Can I remove the one stick of PC3200 and replace it with the two PC2700, it work and be of any benefit?

Yes it will work, but memory that you have is a little slower, but to him, he might not notice any difference;

But 512mb ram is still very little ram
