Increase speed of netgear

i am a student in a college and i want to ask how i could increase my download speed
i am tired of slow downloading speed

If you are using wireless you may gain in speed if you can improve reception.

If you have control of the router I would experiment with different channel settings.

You may improve things at the computer end by placing it near the wall nearest to the signal source (like, not in the middle of the room). Try moving the computer's position, turning it till reception improves. Relocate cordless phone etc away from the computer.
