Hi! I apologize if my question is a little stupid. I am putting together my first computer. I recently purchased this computer very cheaply as my base unit. I added RAM to bring the total RAM to 2 GBs and my friend changed out the power supply for me to a 300w so that I can add a graphics card. I don't need a ton, I just want to be able to play Sims 3 when it comes out. I was thinking of putting in 256mb. Is this doable, and if so, can someone recommend a compatible one? I need something that will support Pixel Shader 2.0. Oh, and I am running Windows XP Pro, if that matters. I am not a Vista fan. Thanks!

It really depends on what form factor of GX270 you have (there are three). All of them can accept an AGP graphics card, but only the mini-tower version will accept the full sized card (as opposed to a low-profile card). About the best I've been able to find for my small form factor GX270 was the Geforce 6200. For the mini-tower, you could probably go up to an HD2600Pro without worrying about power requirements.

Upon further review, this Asus HD3450 would probably fit the low-profile bill (though not exactly a screamer for gaming).
