ASUS GeForce 465GTX

hello,yesterday i ordered nvidia geforce 465gtx and ASUS rampage iii gene motherboard,i will not open my new mobo until i get the i7 930 and corsair 3x2gb 1600mhz memorys,the question is can you overclock the GTX 465 to run like 470? if so what overclocking program do you reccomend?

While no cards (chips) are the same, yes, you can overclock to get near GTX 470 performance, however, if it is not too late, I would get a GTX 460 instead, it performs like a GTX 465 but with less noise, heat and power draw (EDIT: or wait for the GTX 560 which is going to be released soon).

For overclocking I am using EVGA Precision, but you could also go with MSI Afterburner.

the card itself is really not loud i dont know why people say the gtx 460 is more quiet i think its the same
