I have bought an Athlon II X3 440 GMBOX (C3 stepping) CACAC AC (Deneb die). I am yet to buy a motherboard. I want to give ACC a try for core unlocking, and if it fails, I want to O/C the X3 extremely before I buy the next X4 or X6.
My personal choice is ASUS M4A88T-M LE because of its precise voltage control, all solid capacitors and on-board surge protection. But I came upon the following thread-

Now, in my city Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H rev 1.3 is also available at almost the same price. I do not care much about gaming or HTPC. What do I do?

Is there any specific reason for that? TheGigabyte board is fine, but its voltage increments of CPU, NB, RAM etc. are coarser. Moreover, I've heard that effectiveness of ACC in core-unlocking varies mith mobo models also, alongwith the specific processor in question. Is it true?
