I was running the 32 bit of vista until I upgraded to 5gb of ram. I forgot 32 bit only supports 4, so i bought vista x64 ultimate. I installed it, got all drivers, updates. Only shows 4gb. Not 5. :pfff: So then i ran cpuid, and it shows I have 5gb. Task manager 4028Mb. Any help?

I would say that the ram that you bought is not the same as the other ram that you had in the fist place so the ram doesn't talk to each other even if you brought the same brand it needs to be the same right down to the product codes. so if you take out the new ram and get ram that is exactly the same as the ram that you had first then you moight get it all to work
