Viewing video on laptop

i am trying to view a tv show and while i am waiting for it to buffer, and then it fouls up on comercial..is the problem abode or what windows xp or windows 7

Is this streaming? If so, then what site?
What is your Internet type and speed?
Do you have the latest video player software installed?
