RAID 5 vs SSD raid

I have two samsung F3 1Tb drives allready and i want to upgrade either to RADI 5 by purchasing another 2 and run 4x 1TB or go for the 2 x Corsair SSD's 40GB in RAID 0. I wonder if the performance provided by the SSD's would be much higher than the RAID5 configuration keeping in mind the redundancy offered and also the storage space.

Thank You

As far as I've read, SSDs kill mechanical drives in RAID, unless you had a huge device like a SAN.

I don't have the specific numbers, but you could check out normal benchmarks and check out the SSD bench at anandtech....should make it clear that the SSDs are a much speedier option.

On a side note, you do know that in RAID 0, if one of the drives fails, you'll lose the entire array. It provides greater performance, but sacrifices this security/redundancy.
