Windows xp asks for password when one was never created one

Reinstalled windows XP after a blue screen
Now when logging on the first thing the computer asks for is a user passwork which was NEVER asked or given in installation. Can't even get to the start menu

XP always asks you for two passwords when you install: an administrative password and one for the user account.
