I'm going to buy a new Cooler Master 690 case to replace the old one on my build.

I know that it has potential for awesome cooling, so I'd like to make the most out of that.

What fans would you recommend?
I'm looking for something that I won't hear over my cpu heatsink fan and graphics card at idle.
Also, I'd rather not pay silly amounts for a case fan :)

I've been looking at this 4 pack on newegg, but it looks like the power cables are very short

Do you know if the fans are quiet? The cables on them look to be too short to reach the motherboard from some places. Also, no adaptors to connect directly to psu.
Any suggestions for other fans?

Yup, it's quiet. I think it's the silent series. That's odd. GB always includes 3-to-4 pin adapters for their fans. I always got one for each.

It's a tradeoff. You can't have both. Either quiet or powerful (move more air). If you don't overclock, you don't need extra fans. The bundled 2 fans are enough.

The 690 supports 4 140mm fans: 2 top and 2 side. Bigger fans are usually quieter than smaller ones cuz they can spin at lower RPM (speed) for about the same CFM (air). The Scythe stands out to me cuz they're good at making fans & the 140mm fans are 120mm compatible. Just flip the fan to fit mounting holes.
