Thank god for AMD by forcing the prices to drop on the Q9550, its redicously low. Same price as the Phenom II X4 955 nearly, except the Q9550 is $5 more.

lol sorry if this is old news but i just found this out. :kaola: Now I guess we all enjoy the "Q6600" of quad core processors now huh!

they're priced low for a reason,

the Q9550, because it's being discontinued in just over a month.

the 955 BE, because the 965 is replacing it on August 13th (supposedly).

The 965 would be all the easier to overclock to or past 4ghz due to the 3.4 ghz stock speed. My 955 really took some major tweaking to get it past 4ghz stable.

No way you sure the Q9550 is going to be discontinued by next August? I'm glad i got mine, its an E0 stepping.
