Obviously you have no problem with nvidia reusing an old name for their board.

So you should be thrilled when Intel calls all their processors "Pentium" without any numbers regarding speed, conductors, etc.

And AMD would just use "Athlon".

While we're at it, let's have GM call all their cars "Chevrolet", Ford has "Galaxie" and Chrysler - oops Fiat - calls everything "New Yorker".

What you're suggesting is absolute nonsense. There's no way to be sure what they're selling.

All it takes is for them to cease using numbers denoting performance, or create another system that can mean anything ala Intel, and we can all have the name of a $500 card for $35 or so, and the performance of "who knows what"?
