is my power supply enough for my computer? is the case big enough and can cool enough? is the graphics card good enough for gaming?

Yes, to all three of your questions. For the money, those are all good choices. You might save a little money on a P43 board, or if you think you might ever run two video cards keep the P45 but switch to an ATI video card, since Crossfire is supported on it, but not SLI. A 4870 would offer similar performance to the GTX 260. If you need to save money, a 4850 would be sufficient.

lets say i switch my gpu to a 4870 how good would it be wen the 4870 is cheap enough to get another or would it be better to spend that money towards a new rig

That could depend on the resolution and the games. Look at the benchmarks now. Do the types of games you like benefit a lot from crossfire? Whatever the benefit, is it something you would notice? For example, going from 70 to 90 FPS doesn't matter much, but going from 35 to 45 could be a pretty big deal. It may very well be that just one of the next generation's high-end cards would be the best choice, and you could sell the 4870.
