Hey all, long time lurker.

Just thinking about cobbling together a play around O/C system with some left over OCZ Reaper PC2 8500 and a Q9550 and am looking at the GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard as the board so I can up mem and possibly CPU.

Will this MB support the EPP feature and O/C the 8500 DDR2? I can't find anyhting that says it will or wont.

Tanks very much.

You CAN'T use ECC RAM with that board.

FYI: The OCZ Reaper are NOT ECC RAM.

Are you talking about EPP (aka Enhanced Performance Profiles)? IIRC the UD3x boards do not support EPP.

Even if it doesn't support EPP the RAM will work fine. You may have to increase RAM voltage manually however.

gah! Yes I meant to type EPP, and that answered my q, tyvm. :D What would be a good Gigbyte MB to use for this then, would hate to waste the Reaper Memory?

Edited to make more sense in title
