Wireless usb and WD TV media player?

In this video, the guy connects the hard drive from his media phone thingy with some kind of wireless usb output stick (this is not one of those wireless wifi usb sticks you add to laptops, etc) and connects his WD TV media player with some kind of wireless usb input stick. This way the phone’s hard drive is connected to the WD TV media player via some sort of wireless usb connection.

What I want to do is exactly the same thing in the video, but with an external hard drive (I have one that has eSATA and USB connections) instead of the phone. Basically I want to connect the hard drive to my pc with eSATA and use this wireless usb output stick/wireless usb input stick combo to connect the drive to my WD TV media player. It shiould work in theory but I may have to yank out the eSATA cord if i want to use the usb connection or vice versa if both can't work at the same time.

I went to the company website (the company which made the YouTube video demoing the wireless usb product) and there doesn’t seem to be any page where I can buy their product. Does anyone know where I can buy the usb product used in the video or the same kind of product (basically two usb sticks that connect to each other wirelessly) but produced by a different company.

Or could I instead send the media data from the computer upstairs (where the media downloading goes on) wirelessly to the external hard drive (which would sit downstairs next to wd media player instead of sitting upstairs and streaming from itself to the wd media player). I really prefer the first method if possible (the wireless usb method)

the last method i think could work is find an external hard drive enclosure that had built in gigabit ethernet but i never came across such a thing
