Hey guys, I just got all my parts today and put the cpu together. Everything turns on but I get no video. I'm using my onboard graphics for now because I didn't order a video card yet. I'm running an e5200 on a GA-G31M-ES2L. I did have to exert a little pressure when installing the stock heat sink and fan but I don't see how else you could've gotten it on. Anyways, I'm worried I might have damaged my cpu :( Not too sure what else I can do, any advice/help would be great. Thanks.

Will I be able to do this if I get a video card and not use the integrated graphics card?

doubt it is the bios, since the e5200 is pretty old. Just to be sure you hooked everything up, check to see of the motherboard is plugged in fully (there usually are TWO cables, not just the big one connecting to it... I forgot that in my first build).

I have the big 20+4 pin connected into it. Is there another cord that needs to be plugged into the motherboard that I'm not aware of?

The hard drive and cd/dvd drive work. I can hear the hard drive and open/close the cd/dvd drive. All the fans including the heatsink fan are all working. I just don't get any video. I am using the onboard graphics vga output. Any other pointers?
