RAM compatibility with overlocked system

Hello !

I have question regarding RAM and also power supply. Below is the build which I'm going to buy. I will be overlocking it to 3.8 maybe 4.0 GHz. The question is will this RAM be compatible with the rest of the system ? Will 550W be enough for this system when overlocked (I will put CPU coller, however not sure which one) ?

Motherboard- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813138193
Video card- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-908-_-Product
RAM- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148323
Case- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-195-_-Product
Power Supply- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817171038

Should I put extra fans in the case ? If so how many ?

Thank you, your opinion will be very useful.

  1. None of your links work and you did not list what CPU you will be using.
  2. - PSU 550 Watt enough for Oc CPU 3.8 ~4Ghz
    - mobo 890FXE it's good for OC
    - OC VGA enough but use single Card

    you just need :
Good HSf : Noctua NHd-14, Tuniq tower120 extrem, Silver Arro W etc
    good thermal Paste : AS5
Add Fan for Exhaust : artic cooling

Unfortunatly newegg does not ship to hotels, so I needed to find another store which ships to hotels of has a retail store in NY (as I will be staying there for a week) So I found this store- jr.com. However they don't have exacly the same mother board and Ram. What are the differences between motherboard you suggested and this one -

Also, what are you thought about RAM -

    Thank You.
  4. Avoid bargain brands like Raidmax, Rosewill, etc. CAses that are hi quality and widely available come from Antec, Coolermaster, LianLi .... PSU's from Antec, Corsair, XFX.

Pay attention to the "line" your PSU is in. Corsair HX / AX, Antec SG / HCP, XFX Black Edition are top end. Your needs will be more suited by the Corsair TX, Antec TP series.
  5. I have one more question regardin RAM, lets say that I buy a 2x 2GB RAM, but later I want to update to 8gb total. If I don't have possibility to buy the exact same RAM as I'm using now, what should I be looking for choosing the different manufactor RAM ? How it will behave if I have 2 stick of 2gb RAM of one manufactor and 2 stick of 2gb RAM from another one, given that all the stats are equall ?
