i have four PC2 6400 ocz nvidia sli rams of memory. That will not work on my computer i get two to work but three or four will not work. Can some one please help me set my bios up so i can get all four working so i want have to buy a new motherboard.
EVGA nForce 650i Ultra motherboard
2.8 core 2 Duo processor
OK, there's no reason to think the motherboard will work properly with 3 modules, but it certainly should with 4.
What is it about them that won't work? Do you get error on POST, on the system startup?
When your system boots, it displays the speed of the RAM installed. Does it say 800 or 667? Does it show 2048K when 2 sticks of RAM installed and 4096K when 4 sticks?
One thing to do is to make sure the RAM is receiving enough voltage. In your BIOS, under Advanced Chipset Features, you have a System Voltages option. Chose that and select Memory voltage. Set this to 2.1V when running 2 modules and 2.2V when running 4 modules. Save and reboot.
Assuming your system is showing your RAM as 800MHz and you have set voltage to 2.2V for 4 sticks, this should fix it.

my mother board doesn't have 2.2 voltage the most it goes to is 2.1 voltage and when i try it with 3 memorys it only go to the black screen and it freezes when i put four memorys on there the computer doesn't even load up it just make a lound beeping noise. but with 2 memory everything works fine
i try it that way it doesn't work the only thing it does is make a loud beeping noise. the only way its working is with 2 memory in my motherboard that is in slots 0 and 1
So you're putting the two modules into one blue and one white slots? That's incorrect and will keep the board from using dual-channel.
Two modules should be able to go into ONLY the blue slots... or... ONLY the white slots. That's how it's designed to work.
If you aren't able to install any two of your four modules into the same color slots, the motherboard is defective and should be returned.
One thing you should do before giving up is to choose "Load Defaults" in the BIOS to clear any existing odd settings that might keep the hardware from working.

If you cannot get 4 strips to work and you have tried upping the RAM voltage to 2.1v then your only thing left to try is upping the Northbridge volatge (NB volts or MCH voltage). Try upping it 4 or 5 increments from the default volatge (1.25v?). Obviously do your changes with 2 strips in then put the other 2 in and see if it boots, if not up it again. If you get up to 1.4-1.5v on the northbridge and you still can't boot then your only option is to sell your 4x1Gb strips and buy 2x2Gb strips!
