Hey guys, last night I put my computer together and began formatting my hard drive and decided to crash. I have an E5200 on a gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L with a WD Black 640 gb hard drive. Instead of keeping the cpu on to finish formatting, I just turned it off like a noob. Now I'm getting "Error loading operating system". I've tried booting from the CD, it'll ask if you want to boot from the cd, and then it says push any button and then "Error loading operating system". I can get into BIOS and when my cpu boots, everything reads right and it reads my hard drive and dvd player. I have no idea what to do and am totally bummed out :( . Can anyone help?

It looks like my Master boot record is messed up because I didn't finish the formatting process. Whats best way to clear my master boot record.

Boot from the CD. At the command prompt, try "fdisk /mbr". That should restore the master boot record. Then go bacy and reformat.

Thanks for the help. I figured it out by tweaking the BIOS a bit. Thanks god.
