What do you mean, fix a wireless antenna ? Is your router wireless or not ?

If not you'll need to add an access point -- but it's usually cheaper and simpler to replace the router with a wireless router.

As far as the computer end is concerned you are right, you should just add a wireless adapter.

What you mean is that you have a wired-only modem/router. You could add a wireless access point to it via the ethernet socket. But is may be simpler to replace the whole thing with a wireless modem/router (generally just called a wireless router).

The problem is that either way requires some preparedness on your part to figure stuff out in what it probably a new field for you.

My advice, particularly if the Prolink was supplied by your internet provider is to call them and ask if they could instead supply a wireless router and tell you how to set it up.
