Monitor Size

I was talking to a friend about video cards and we are wondering if it matters how large your monitor is when looking for a good video card? I know resolution is the key here ...

My thought is if you have a larger monitor at a high resolution it will be harder for the video card than with that same resolution at a smaller screen size.

Do I have the right thought process?

Thank you.

It is the pixel resoloution, not physical size that matters. The more pixels, the harder the computer has to work to produce the image.
