BFG 9800GT OC or Palit GTS250

Which one is the best? It'll be used for gaming obviously and I will be using the it for HDMI. The specs for the rest of the system are as follows:

C2D E8400
4Gb DDR2 1066MHz Corsair cat 5
ASUS P5E Deluxe
WD 500GB 7200RPM 32Mb Cache

Which of the cards is the most powerful? The 9800 I know is almost identical to the 8800 but wondered if there are any changes.

Anyway hope you guys can help.

  1. The GTS 250 is better. It's a newer and slightly faster and cooler version of the 9800GTX+.
  2. ^ +1

The GTS is a sweet little card. Its a 9800GTX+ but in a smaller package. You can even Tri-SLI them.

For a little bit more you could get a GTX260
  3. Whats the length of the card? And will it fit in a midi case? (without modifications)

If mods are neccessary then I will do it.
  4. The 2GB Palit model is 9" long, according to this review.

If you're looking at a 512MB or 1GB model, those are probably the same, or maybe a bit smaller. It should fit anywhere, IMO.
  5. Thanks for your help guys :).

My friend should be happy with his new build I hope ><
