This is a maddening problem. When entering the BIOS setup at the "Hardware Monitor Setup" screen, the system immediately freezes. It is impossible to access any of the setup options, and the left hand side of the setup screen is blank, as is the title frame at the top of the page. This makes it impossible to set the FSB freqency, or any of the other parameters on the page. I purchased and installed a new CPU. Same problem.

I have tried to locate a J17 on the MB as suggested after searching this, or similar problems, others have had with this board. There does not seem to be a J17 on this MB.

The board itself is identified as a MS 6380 V2.x, The BIOS ID is AM6380VMS v 3.7 101402. I believe this to be the latest BIOS revision for this board, and have reinstalled it to no avail.

ANY help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jim
