Which is better?

SAPPHIRE 100266HDMI Radeon HD 4830 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail

Vs

SAPPHIRE 100245HDMI Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail

Also, These cards will both do the Crossfire thing, correct? So, I could buy another video card at a latter date?

Thanks alot!

It depends on what you are doing, but most likely the 4850 will run better as most games don't need >512 MB of VRAM so the better GPU in the 4850 shines. And yes, either card will crossfire assuming you have a compatible mobo and sufficient power supply.

Considering your two choices, you should be going with the HD4770. It's the new 40nm and is much more efficient. It falls between the two cards but its overclocking potential makes it basically equivalent to the HD4850 at a lower price.

From the reviews I gather two 4770's is better than any Single GPU Graphics Card that you can buy including the 4890 and that you can buy two of them for less than the one. I maybe wrong on this but it's what I have read. I have a 3870 in this current computer and plan to update it in a few months and might consider a Nvidia for the Physix capabilities.
