Hi all,

I would like to choose between two <$500 models of 14" Acer Aspire notebooks. One has the AMD CPU and one has the Intel. I can save about $70 if I pick the AMD model. Acer's Tech Support is saying that the Intel model comes with a free Win 7 upgrade option. Both machines have 34-bit Vista Home Premium OS.

The applications will not involve heavy duty graphics. Is one CPU significantly better than the other?
Most usage will be with the power supply.

Nah, but that free Windows 7 upgrade is worth the $70 in my opinion. :)
