Hello,
Hi, When I insert my memory card into my Canon digital camera it "says the memory card is write protected" but yet I hadn't set a password on it; so what this could be?

Most memory cards have a slide switch on the side, to allow you to protect the contents of the card. Take out the card, and slide this switch in the other direction and retry it.

Did you flip the switch on the side of the memory card to "unlock".

I am encountering a similar problem. I flipped the switch on to the opposite side to "unclock" the memory card but it still reads "Memory card error". The Memory card is SC IMPACT 1GB but, my second similar one works!

What could be the problem?
