Hi hi, i've just got a new pc but the graphics card, GT120, isn't too good and i can see this when trying to play games like Far cry 2.

Here it is first of all:

Intel® Core 2 Quad Q8200 (2.33GHz, 4MB Cache)
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium
4GB DDR2 memory
1GB NVIDIA® GeForce GT120 graphics

Anywho, i'm thinking of buying a better card but i have no idea which one, nor do i know how to install it (Although i did replace my older pcs graphics card myself with a x1950 PRO) I've heard the HD4850 is good.

My price range is £70-£150

And also, how would i go about installing it? I want to make sure i don't break my pc accidentally. Just information like how to uninstall my current graphics card/drivers, etc etc

Thank you :)

Yes, we need all of the info you can find on your computer. After that is sorted out, we can worry about the actual parts/build. You may also want to consider the 4770. Similar performance to the 4850, but it uses a bit less power.

Open the case up and either copy what you see on the sticker that is on the power supply or take a picture...

Where did you buy it from (brand)? Also, a picture of the whole inside would be nice if possible so we could see the Motherboard and space inside.

We need to know the exact model, to tell if it a normal or slimline case.
Also: What games do you play? And what resoloution is your monitor?
Without that information we cannot give you accurate guidance.
