OMFG IT'S BEEPING HELP

Okay... well i have this portable memory and its a FreeAgent Go 500 GB and its beeping... It wont let me get any of my stuff off of it and most of the stuff on it is like majorly important... Please help me cuz i'm like going like really crazy... its beeping and i dont know why..?

How old is the drive?
You might have one of those famous drives that had huge firmware failures....
But first I'ld unplug the drive and reboot the system and when you're on the desktop then plug in the usb connector and see what happens.
