New system died after a few hours

yesterday I assembled a new system using the following components:
P5Q Pro Motherboard
CPU INTEL|C2Q Q9550 2.83 775
2X 2GB Corsair RAM
PSU ZALMAN|ZM600-HP 600W RT
Windows Vista Home Premium
Zalman Reserator 1 water cooling system
Booted the system to the BIOS. Everything was fine CPU temp was cool (20C) Let it run for an hour with no problems

Installed Windows Vista HP OS. All went well. At the end of install it said "windows is now starting". Then the machine went dead, shut off (perhaps a coincidence).

Power LED is still on on Motherboard but pushing power switch does nothing. System will not power on.

I had an old 400W PSU, tried that and still nothing.

Does this sound like a dead motherboard? CPU? RAM?

probably the psu, zalman's aren't high-end so it might not be able to handle the Q9550 and intel chipset.
