my laptop is not detecting external hardlisk(160 GB) even not in Disk Management... So, what I'll do?

Make sure your external HDD is powered and the USB cable connecting the HDD to PC is plugged in securely, you may also try plugging it on other USB slot in your laptop.

Does the HDD have it's own power supply? If not, make sure it's plugged in a powered USB port. Not all the USB ports are capable of providing enough power to the HDD to spin it.
