    overall i7 is a superior processor. X4 955 is a overpriced 940 with ddr3 controller. i7 920(D0) could hit and run stable @ 4 ghz with air.
  4. i cant believe im sayin this, but peanut is rite, although, im sure he didnt put any effort into combo deals from amd which im sure could have landed u with 2 4890s in crossfire
  5. i guess u meant to say "how am i going to buy, ur not in usa"
the i7 is better, but since u cant buy from new, most reviews say the MSI 790fx-gd70 is the best am3, but anything from msi or gigabyte will do the job well, always do research b4 u buy.
  6. thanks guys

    sorry ;)
im not in uk or ireland :) i well buy the hardware of the computer from newegg.

i understand from your comments that Core i7 better then 955 for the games.
actully i was worry between i7 and 955.

    ok core i7 , motherboard : GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD3R . RAM : http://www.corsair.com/corei7/default.aspx , Corsair Dominator 6GB PC3-12800 DDR3 Triple Channel Memory Kit , Case : I looking for a nice case from gigabyte.
  7. Yep...for that kind of money, I'd have to agree that i7 is a far better choice. I think you'll be much happier going that route for that kind of money.

What country are you in? How will you get the parts from newegg if you aren't in the US (or Canada)?

That MB is for AMD. Get the basic giga x58 board. GA-EX58-UD3R: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128375

GA EX58-UD3R doesn't work well with patriot DDR3 mem so try to avoid them.

    or get a MSI M-ATX X58M: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130227&Tpk=x58m

it has very nice oc features and its cheap. most msi x58 boards have IOH temp problems so get a after market Thermalright HR-05/IFX NB heatsink. fixes the IOH issue.
  11. i wonder what would run crysis better, an i7 and 2 4770s or a 955 and 2 4890s hmmmm
  12. Yep...make sure you have an i7 (LGA 1366) board. That one is definitely AMD.

    second that.

I know Toms came up with i7 920 with 2x 260 or something like this against PII 955 with 2x 4890(?). But in OP's case... would love to see the i7 with 1x 4890 (or 2x 4770) vs PII 955 with 2x 4890 (if they are in the same price range).
  14. thnks guys ...
i want to buy RAM from these
    http://www.corsair.com/corei7/default.aspx
i want some help in choose the RAM ...
  15. buy ddr3 1333, anything above is a waste of money, unless its under $100,

why buy from there, newegg has a wide range of brands that have really good products to offer

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227365

but if ur really only interested in corsair, then get
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145220

and even those r overpriced, just because theyre 1.5v 1333@ 9-9-9-24 is acceptable
