So I'm stepping up from my GTX 260 to a GTX 275 (I was going to step up to a 285 but really the differences between that and the 275 don't justify the $100 price difference whatsoever.) But I don't have the original packaging. Would it be safe to send it in by putting it in an antistatic bag then wrapping it in bubble wrap? Would there be a better way to ship it?
While I'm at it, would it be a much better idea to step up to a GTX 285? I don't really see where the $100 difference it justified when compared to the 275. Since I'm running at 1680x1050 the differences wouldn't really be much would they?

Im not quite sure what you are talking about so bare with me...for the shipping are u returning it for a new one??
and a 260 GTX be overkill for gaming with that resolution unless your want to run Crysis without a hiccup
I'm using evgas stepup program to trade in my GTX 260 + $60 to get a GTX 275, but I don't have the original box, so I was just wondering what would be the best way to package it for shipping.
And going to a 9800GTX+ would be a downgrade btw.
Yeah they do, usually it's with a 15% decrease in value, but I emailed and asked about it for some reason the guy said he would waive that, I don't know what I did to make that happen though lol. I love my 260 but if I can upgrade to a better performer for $60 why not?
Find a box of about the correct size and pad it out with bubble wrap and pay careful attention to the PCI-E connector and corners, they are partucularly vulnerable to damge.

Well if you have the money go for it...but what ive researched and read, you probably wont see a performance jump worth 60$ IMO
