I have a Gigabyte 890fxa-UD5 with a AMD BE 965 C3, and it is powered by a Corsair HX650!

I was wondering if this setup could handle 2x5770s, I have one, and my uncle told me he would pretty much give me his.

He is the one who helped me build my first computer, and he helped me choose the parts so I picked the same one he had, and thats the Gigabyte 5770SO.

So two gigabyte 5770SO's on a UD5 powered by a HX650, is this all good?

Can you recommend a graphics card for my moms computer.

She has a HP P6310Y desktop last years model with a 2009m 900p screen. She has a 300watt standard psu, and was happy when she had my old 9400GT.

The fan died on the 9400GT, so I was thinking maybe fanless this time, cuz the 9400gt was 1 year old.

Thanks, for any feed back, I can't tell which is better 5450 vs 4650 vs what ever.

I am looking for 30$-50$ range!

I can't wait to rock them 5770's, I just got up on Newegg's 200$ vertex 2 200gb!

a ssd for 1$=1gb is one hell of deal, and especially after my 30$ MIR, that will be .85$=1gb!!

Well you're on the right track i have a fanless Sapphire 4550 and it's been fine in one of my lesser rigs.
Idles at about 46C and plays L4D1/2 as well as other Valve games.
Either a 4550 or 5450 would be good.

i have kind of a dumb question.

If I had blu-ray files like on someones external drive, would I be able to watch these files on my computer with out a blu ray player?? Like watch them just like a .avi file?

I am going to test either way, but I thought I would ask!

^Yup. Once they are off the blu ray disk you no longer need the blu ray player, as long as you have a program that can read whatever file format you ripped them into.

Ok, here is the 2nd part of that questio lol.

I have my computer hooked up to my tv in my office via HDMI. According to my gpu it can not have three screens unless one of my monitors is plugged in through the Display port on the back.

My two monitors our H233H and I only have DVI, D-Sub/VGA, and HDMI.

Q:If I got a wire with displyport on one end to hook to the gpu, and a DVI or HDMI on the other, will my graphics card see it as a disply port and allow me to have both my H233H's hooked up and my HDTV all at the same time?

Yeah my VLC player will play the beautiful blu ray on my nice 1080p h223h monitors!

I asked cause I wanted to start putting my familys blu ray onto files but I don't have a blu ray yet, but I do have my HDTV plugged in so I can watch straight off file through a program that is "BLu Ray"
