Oc just core clock or both core clock and memory clock on gcard

im pretty new with oc'ing, still dont understand a lot of stuff, with my new gtx 460 i put the settings up to 850 core clock and 2000 memory clock. it runs well and i havnt tested how far the card can go and probably wont im ok with where its at. i was reading some posts and articles and saw some say that you should keep the memory clock at stock speeds of the card and only up the core to get better performance, better performance over upping both core and memory clock. is this true? or both clocks better to oc at the same time.

yes both can help , but be careful do small adjustments and test them!

Hi.

You need overclock both of those, but like area51 says, do it in little steps and don't forget the shader clock.
