hi i installed Windows 7 63 bit and the windows does not read my motherboard driver, and it is not a update for it. do i have to by a new motherboard just because i have windows 7. or can i just by a audio card and that should work???

does device manager show any unknown audio devices (yellow triangle icon next to them)

You could try the vista or xp driver download from mobos main site.

So far Windows 7 has been millions of times better then Vista was with driver support, mainly because of the open Beta and backwards compatability but there is still the posability of compatability issues with new hardware until Windows 7 specific drivers are released.

I got one of these working by visiting the Realtek site and downloading the latest SoundMax drivers. Hope this is helpful.

He's talking about his ACPI drivers. There is no update for Windows 7 for it because its old hardware. The best you can do is go with 64-bit Vista or XP Pro x64.
