My computer will not boot in safe mode.
I was using a computer today, and I got a bad boot caller. I then proceede to have tons of virus problemsand explorer.exe wouldn't work and I was getting adds out the %^&. I finally got the computer running again and was installing OpenOfiice 3 when the power was cut off. Since it returned, I haven't been able to get it to boot even in safe mode. I am using Win XP SP2 32bit.

I need to save it to get my itunes and other file libraries. Funny, I was going to back them up today, but that didn't happen. I know I can clean install XP, but that will wipe my stuff.

I just inserted the Win CD and it didn't even see the drive. What should I do? Feel free to ask any questions to confirm any suspicions. I will be keeping you updated.

When I get done with this I'm going to Ubuntu.

AMD X2 5200+
PNY 7900GS
Gigabyte 590-sli s5
2*2GB A-DATA DDR2 800
2*250 GB Seagate's Raid 0
