Acer Aspire Program Removal

I'm trying to help my friend make his acer functional again and wanted to start by removing mcafee and norton since he did not uninstall mcafee before norton.
I can view installed programs when I'm in safe mode, but it won't let me delete them there.
When I'm not in safe mode, NO programs appear under add/remove programs.
Does anyone know how I can remove these programs under the current circumstances?

Try using a little cmd trick , that I also used for something .
Start>Run.
Type cmd and press enter.
Type

WMIC

and press enter.
A new line will appear. Now type:

product get name

This will make visible all your program installations.It may take from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on your pc. Now type:

product Your_program_name_as_speciffied_in_the_list call uninstall

Now type Y for confirmation and enter. Done!
