Will two 4890's fit into http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146044 this case. Now from what I gather I figure one can, but can two. I want to use the asus rampage ll gene mobo. I'm also gonna be putting in two hard drives to. Also need some help picking out the power supply.

PC

asus rampage ll gene

core i7 920

samsung spinpoint f1 1tb

western digital velcioraptor 150gb

ocz platinum 12gb 1600 (pcs 12800)

I'm gonna water cool the cpu, nb, sb, and video cards. I'd like to use the koolance site since it helps make sure you get all the parts right. Heres what I have so far

cpu block

nb block

sb block

voltage regulator (not sure how many of these I need and what size of heat plates I need to go with them)

video card blocks

My main problem here is I don't know how much tubing, what fittings, how many voltage regulators+heat plates *and size of them* I should get. I'm not completely deadset on getting anything as I still have a bit of time before my bonus comes in anyways *hopefully no later then the 15th..* So still plenty of time to change things around, but this is what I would like to get.

Ok my pc is gonna come around 2700.. So that leaves me around 1000 for the cooling system. I'm waiting for the OS.. I'm gonna get windows 7 that is a must.. No point in buying vista with 7 just on the horizon.

Hmmm, it'll be quite a challenge to fit all that hardware... I think two video cards and two hard disks can make it, but that water cooling system might make things too cramped.

In any case, it'll take a while for Windows 7 retail too come out IMO. You cna wait for the release of RC1 on May 5 though.

Well am pretty certain things will get cluttered when you go ahead with water cooling...I would suggest you get a ATX Mid-tower unless you are planning to build a LAN-BOX...
As for the PSU, get a modular PSU like these...Obviously you would know the reason...

Gaming... and map making *like ut map makers and things of that nature* Not to mention I love having multiply windows open when map making.. I've noticed that can be harding on the computer then the actual game itself.

Ya, I'm diffently gonna go with modular psu I was gonna go with TT tough power, but their all sold out, and not sure if their gonna be restocked by the time I get my bonus. I knew a good site to go to for actual test/reviews of psu's but i forgot it. And don't you think I would need at least a 1000watt? I also check out the mid tower atx see if I can find one I like.. Will the matx fit with regular atx also? Just to give me more options when looking through cases.I post to let you know what I come up with.

Manic I was gonna just get the rc1 version then just wait for the release of win 7. It just seems better specially with the xp part intergated into it.

O my bad r-manic i thought I did... I've decided I'd be using 2 ati 4890's.

Ok, time for r_manic-learning time, Modular PSUs are designed to keep the cables inside a case neat, right?

I may have missed it kingnoobe, but I didn't see you list your video card. Whatever it may be though, 1000W will probably still be too much. maybe you're better off with a 800W+ or even a ~600W PSU.

Thanks for that gkay09, I more or less understand the whole concept. :)

And sorry kingnoobe! you did mention your planned video cards—right on the first sentence of your first post! :D

AFAIK 2 4890s in a relatively small case will be a tight fit, and that may complicate any cooling ideas you have in mind. You're trying to keep your case profile small because you'll be bringing it to LAN parties or something?
