My new 23" Acer X233H bid monitor has a black border approx 3/4" on each side and approx 1/2" on top and bottom when using the monitor's max video resolutionn of 1980x1200. The only way I can get the monitor's full screen potential is to reduce the screen resolution to 1600x1200. However, this resolution stretches and distorts the picture. My graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT and all current drivers have been installed.
What now, return it?

Check to see if you can turn the "overscan" settings in the Nvidia control panel all the way up. That might do the trick.

Loneylypauly, you hit the nail right on the head................ sort of!!!
I couldn't find the OVERSCAN setting but I did find the RESIZE MY HDTV DESKTOP and that did the trick.
Do I feel like a dummy or what?!!!!

OK, so one more question.... Where can I find that OVERSCAN in the NVIDIA Control Panel?
