Hi, I recived a PC a few days back, it came to me and when I hooked it up to the power, and turned it on everything comes on just fine, HDD, FAN etc etc.

But the problem is, it stays dead. The CPU fan is on 100% and does not turn off, and no signal from the GPU to the monitor. (I've tried changing the GPU and RAM to no avail.)

Is this the symtoms of a failed motherboard?

------------------------------ CPU: Pentium 4 641 - 3.2Ghz - Hyper Threading - 2MB Cache - 800Mhz FSB - 65nm
RAM: 2GB DDR2 Dell 800Mhz
GPU: 8600GTS 256MB GDDR3
HDD: 160GB Maxtor Sata II 7,200RPM
