HDD number 1: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/124228
HDD number 2: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/150246

Whats the differance can anyone tell me plz..I noticed one has 16mb cache and other 32mb cache what does that mean?

I currently have HDD number 2...Im planning to buy another hard drive should i get the cheaper HDD number 1 or another HDD number 2....
I heard there are benefits of having two identical hard drives ..something about RATIO or whatever what is that?

Thanks

AALS have a 5 year warranty vs 3 year warranty.
AAKS has 16MB Cache and AALS has 32MB Cache.

You should check to see performance between the fastest of the two and a cheap 1.5TB.
I bet you 1.5TB will beat two 500GB in raid 0.

But between two 500GB HDD's, the performance margin may not be big enough to make any noticeable impacts.

Oh and I don't know what this RATIO you're talking about is. If you're planning on RAIDing your two HDD's, I would recommend you buy an identical one.

Thanks for the reply but what exactly doeas 32 mb cache mean..will it give me significant performance over 16mb cache for 10 pouds.

"You should check to see performance between the fastest of the two and a cheap 1.5TB.

Im not sure what you just said here. im not looking to buy 1.5tb hard drive..like I said I alredy have the AALS so my question is wheather it would make more sense to buy another AALS or AAKS considering its 10 pounds differance and I have no idea what RAID 0 or RAID 1 means.. I tried doing some research but its not making any sense, I was hoping someone here could give me a brief and easy explonation.

EDIT: Ignore the RATIO i ment RAID
