Ok so the plugs on the power supply are labled cpu1 and cpu2.On the right side the connector matches the connector on the motherboard the second does not but still plugs in with ease. This is a quick picture I made to show the problem. PLEASE HELP ME THIS IS THE LAST THING I NEED TO DO!!!!!

Compare each pin to the plugin on the board and plug it in accordingly. And make sure one of those 4-pin connectors aren't for the main 24-pin plugin.

Well thats what the picture is for if you noticed on the cpu2 all of the connectors on the psu plug are upside down d's but on the board it is D,[], power supply D,D

You need to connect a 4-pin connector to get power to the CPU. Often, a quad-core processor would like to have the other 4-pin connected as well.

I have the same PSU and only have one of the connectors plugged for my E8400 (dual-core). The other I have tied back.

Yes I do have a quad core but im scared to plug the 2 on because it does not match the board, but will plug in.

Hello, anyone know Im about to just try it.

The best solution for this is to obtain the specifications for the mobo and the PSU, and find the details of exactly which voltages are present on each connector pin. If they all match, then the pin mechanical details don't matter as long as they fit together AND they all make good electrical contact.

OK I called both asus and OCZ and they said that it was an error on ocz. They put the wrong end on but it worked and OCZ is sending me a secret gift.

The CPU power plugs feed 12 volts (yellow wires - 12 volts, black wires - ground) to the motherboard. The key here is that the yellow wires ned to face outwards toward the edge of the motherboard.

The 4 pin of the "20 + 4 " main power connector has one each yellow, red, orange, and black wires. And it will be right beside the 20 pin main power connector.
