im wondering guyz i wanna overclock my q6600 , and what decent budget cooler would u recommand, ? im in canada so what would u recommand, thats not over 40$ us thanks for a mild overclock from 2.4 to 3,0 gigahertz maximum

Stock cooler would be ok...I have that same chip. You can get to 3ghz without any voltage increase in most cases. A simple bump of the FSB from 266 to 333 usually all it takes.

But a different cooler might help temps run a little cooler.

Good cooler dude! you'll only be limited by ram height with that cooler.
So if you decide to fill all dimms you're limited to 33mm and under ram kits.

Again, great coolers will be hindered by poor case airflow.

I'm all for a cooler upgrade, but don't forget to address the elephant in the room.

Elephant = case airflow.

Cooler upgrades are a great option, but don't forget that even the best coolers need to be fed cool air to work effectively.

You've heard the phrase, 'the elephant in the room', haven't you? Basically saying that everyone personally knows that the issue is there, but due to whatever reason, feel it's necessary to avoid discussion.

Kind of like finding out creepy stuff about your family right before a holiday dinner...and then seeing those people there...but not sure if anyone should say anything...
