Cant view usb removeable drives

I can see the 4 usb drives in Device Manager but they do not show up in Windows Explorer.
The drives accept flash cards and display if I insert a card in them.
Can anyone help me. I just reformatted and installed Win7 on an HP Pavilion Elite e1950t.

Does the same thing happen if you boot into safe mode ?

If not, then you most likely have a software conflict happening at startup.
I have seen references to APPS like Photo Shop and Zonealarm causing this.
It is tiresome, but you could start unchecking startup programs one at a time and rebooting to see what is conflicting.
