Bottleneck or not?

A 740g with a amd 550 BE and a 9800gt.Will the mobo be a bottleneck if the system is used for low resolution gaming say 1024 X 768.I know tht 9800gt is an overkill for such low res gamin but if it was a scenario will it?

And what is the 740g? I put 740g into Google and got a John Deere Loader Backhoe - but I'm assuming you've got one of several manufacturer's motherboards that use this in the model name and have the AMD chipset of the same name?

Regardless... I can't see any AM2+/AM3 motherboard capable of using the Phenom II CPUs having a bottleneck in those conditions. Systems don't mind being underutilized - ask mine!

No, you should not have any bottleneck specially at that resolution.

Well, I did mention that! We don't get many questions here about combining CPUs and farm equipment. I just found the backhoe reference to be amusing and I happen to like John Deere!
