I did a little search on the net but couldn't find up-do-date information about this problem.
I'm about to purchase a new graphics card, Gigabyte GV-N96TSL-1GI. But when I read the manual it's said that Dualview cannot be used unless I'm running XP.
It's stated there
Quote :
Dualview mode indicates that both displays in the
display pair function as one virtual desktop. Unlike
Horizontal Span or Vertical Span mode, Dualview
treats each display as a separate device. This
means that the taskbar will not be stretched across
displays and 3D applications are not accelerated
as efficiently as when the application spans
displays.
(Note) This item is present only in Windows XP.
I'm running Vista 64 Ultimate, using two displays. One is my main monitor (for work) and other is a LCD HDTV (for TV). The main reason for upgrading from my ATI Radeon x1950 Pro is that this Gigabyte card has a native HDMI connector and 7.1 sound. But when dualview is not supported under Vista 64 this purchase loses its meaning. I understand I could use extended view but my screens aren't side by side and stretched taskbar etc, not a good thing.
So my main question is that has this problem been fixed and the manual is just a little old or does this problem still exist and I would be right there where I am now with my ATI card?
